Healthy Families Juneau (HFJ) Tele:

•Home visiting support to families to enhance the ability of parents to protect and nurture their children and reduce child maltreatment.
•Serves families that experience high stress from social isolation, alcohol or substance abuse, depression, unemployment, poverty and other stress factors.
•Supports the development of positive parent-child relationships and healthy childhood growth and development.
•Encourages parents to recognize and modify behaviors that contribute to family instability, poor childhood outcomes, and child abuse and neglect. Actively links parents with available community resources based on parenting strengths and needs.
•Eligible to enroll during pregnancy or before the baby turns 2 weeks old. •Supports women to follow through with substance abuse treatment and recovery activities while reducing the risk of unplanned pregnancies.
•Advocates for access to formal and informal community supports.
•Promotes safe home environments and appropriate health care for children.

396 Whittier Street Juneau, AK 99801 •Drop-in services to support all pregnant and parenting teens.
•Supports healthy lifestyle choices and behaviors, financial readiness, reducing subsequent unplanned pregnancies, reducing family violence, increasing parenting skills, gaining employment, transportation and child care, increasing father involvement and getting and keeping safe housing.
•Provides education, advocacy and support for reducing substance abuse for all teens.

- The Child Care Assistance Program aids low to medium income families with the cost of child care as they work or participate in education or training programs.
- The goal of the program is to ensure that safe, healthly, quality child care is affordable and accessible to all of Alaska 's children and families.
- Funding for the Child Care Assistance Program is provided by the State of Alaska, Department of Health & Social Services, Division of Public Assistance, Child Care Program.

- The Family Resource Center provides a family friendly environment in which parents and children can access a comprehensive array of services focused on family strengthening.
- Families who use the Family Resource Center find resources and support during difficult times and people willing to celebrate their success with them as difficulties, large and small, are overcome.
- We provide extensive home visitation, case management services and life skills education to families in the transitional housing facility where we are co-located.
- These services, as well as budgeting, parenting, anger/stress management, and nutrition education are provided to the community at large.

- The Children of Incarcerated Parents Project works to educate the public on issues faced by children experiencing the temportary or permanent loss of a parent due to incarceration.
- Additionally this project provides direct service and critical support to this very vulnerable population and their care providers.
- Services are provided through this program in Eagle River and Anchorage as well.

- The Children of Incarcerated Parents Mentoring Project works to educate the public on issues faced by children experiencing the temportary or permanent loss of a parent due to incarceration.
- Additionally this projects works to establish and support one to one mentoring relationships between impacted children and caring responsible adults who receive specialized training and support to enhance these unique relationships.

- We are a team of multidisciplinary professionals who intervene for the safety, well-being, and healing of abused children.
- To ease the trauma of child abuse, we unite the community so that children can be heard.
- S.A.F.E. Child Advocacy Center provides a comprehensive, culturally competent multidisciplinary team response to allegations of child abuse in a child-friendly facility.

- The Comprehensive Family Support Program provides family preservation, family reunification and family support services to Juneau families.
- The program provides intensive in-home services that include mental health assessments, crisis intervention and concrete services design to make the home a safe and nurturing place for children and their families.
