A Healthy Future
A Behavioral Health Program
The Healthy Future (HF) Program provides Therapeutic Foster Care and
clinical support services. This program provides new treatment capacity and
resources for children diagnosed with severely emotional disturbance (SED),
developmental disabilities (DD), fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD),
traumatic brain injury (TBI) and other cognitive dysfunctions.
This program provides services to children that are either out of the State
of Alaska in
treatment or those about to be sent out of the State for treatment. The program
is a part of the Bring the Kids Home Project with the State of Alaska.
Additionally, HF will provide a new resource for young children with
aggressive behaviors, ages 3 to 11, for whom traditional residential services
are developmentally inappropriate.
The HF Program provides wrap-around services for children who have been
diagnosed as SED who are experiencing significant emotional or behavioral
problems in the home, community and school, as well as the children’s
families. Services include therapeutic foster care, clinical and
rehabilitation services, case management, individual, family and group skill
development.
