Payment for Child Care

The child care assistance program is funded through the State of Alaska, Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Public Assistance. Caseworkers determine how much the child care assistance program can assist with your child(ren)'s child care costs. Most families have a co-payment. The co-payment amount is based on family size and all countable gross monthly income. All parents are responsible to pay their family co-payments to their child care provider each month in addition to any provider charges over the state rate.
