Home Care

Hospice and Home Care of Juneau is available to meet the needs of those who are homebound and need nursing assistance, home health aid placement, physical therapy or occupational therapy in the home. Our skilled staff of nurses, home health aides and therapists can assist with:

• Wound care and skin assessments

• Skilled nursing assessments following surgery or hospitalization

• PICC line dressing changes and site inspection

• Education on home infusions of antibiotics or nutrition (TPN or Enteral)

• Pain management

• Personal care assistance with bathing and showering

NOTE: The services must be ordered by a local physician, and may be paid for either by the patient or patient’s family, or in many cases by an insurance company. If an insurance company is billed, the patient must meet the definition of “homebound” as established by the insurance company.
